What To Pray For?

I was on my Facebook page when a lady posted this: 

"OK. Out on a huge limb here with most of you, but compelled by God to get this out to you. It is IMPERATIVE that we begin to pray for President Obama, because God will either use him to strengthen or break down our country. God has a mandate. That the heart of our president be softened towards Israel. That the heart of the president be softened for the people of the United States. He can be either one of the greatest or one of the worst presidents in our country's history.

We must begin, earnestly to pray for him, his heart and his leadership. This does NOT in any way include bashing. Bashing only releases the devil into the situation,and helps raise up the beast from the east! We have a richness and glory in this land never before seen: first black American president, who is also one of the greatest we have ever known. IF we will follow the will of the Lord and earnestly, fervently fall on our knees and intercede in prayer for him. Every word that proceeds out of our mouth either releases good or evil. No gray. It's one or the other.

We have a chance to do good.

In praying for him our heats will also be softened for him. Let us pray for God's wisdom, and for God to reach out and miraculously fill him with the wisdom he needs to lead our great country. Only God can do this. President Obama walks a perilous walk. He needs our prayers... prayers of love, compassion, strength, purpose, insight, foresight and grace.

This doesn't mean we can't seek and get improvement in our government body, and protect our Constitution and Amendments. It means a chance for those to be planted in the feet of steel and concrete never to be shaken. We get to choose the course. Victory in the Lord. Or failure in Satan. Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord... (yes, it's scriptural from Joshua). But this is the foundation of our house and our home.

I was fine with this fervent and earnest appeal, then I read the part you see italicized above. A president who reduces our country to our lowest common denominator, stalls or blocks real reform and law, flouts the constitution, and receives the Nobel peace prize for accomplishing nothing. He has done zero for this country, has done nothing to perceptively improve this county, and has consciously and willingly defied the constitution laws of the land frequently and intentionally.

My response: Of course I will pray, for God to intervene and nullify this Godless, spineless, and feckless administration and stop it in it's tracks.
