We have reached that point and beyond here in the USA.
This rethinking of America is not an arbitrary "wish-list" of what we want given to us. This is the cornerstone of our failures of this current situation we now find ourselves in. The government rushes in to create dependence on what many would conceive as the benefits of this nation.
How wrong they would be.
It has been the ever seeking to gain without sacrifice, to advance (more likely tread water) on an individual basis, and be pampered by the carpet-baggers of Washington, that has given rise to the pending demise, if it's course is left unchecked, of our great republic.
We must look to the future, solidify our hold on the present, and learn from the past, in order to continue into a brighter and greater destiny.
It always strikes me as self destructive the venom given to those who voice "survive and prosper" and applaud those who rush headlong into a long dark night. The logic is so lacking in this, that it is no wonder we are where we are today.
We have now seen more clearly the naked plan of those who want to change us from a nation of freedom, prosperity, and hope, to one that feeds the political elites and those who feed off their policies and outright pilfering of the future to line their pockets today.
And even they are so blinded by this personal aggrandizement that they can not see the destruction they sow for themselves as well.
There will be no stone unturned, in this new regime, and either you are useful to their cause, or you are an impediment to their plans. And the only solution will to be discarded like day old trash on the rotting pile of disdain and marginalized impotence.
We must rise up against this onslaught to America. That bright shining city on a hill as once claimed President Reagan. There will be need for well reasoned thought, effective allegiance, personal sacrifice, and clear knowledge. This is not a small skirmish in the woods, but an undeclared war against all that we hold dear.
This will touch hearth and home.
But I do leave with this thought:
"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" --Samuel Adams
Yes - God bless America!
