The Power Of Prayer

Rumors have been circulating that Congress will change the amount of terms a president can serve, moving it back to 4 terms as it was with FDR. If so, that would mean 12 more years of BHO (Obama). If true, this is the second step in fundamentally changing America.

Term limits were also extended in most known countries that changed from a democracy to a dictatorship, and believe me this is what Obama is striving for. To be monarch-in-chief, or rather, despot-in-chief, much like his buddy Hugo Chavez.

But the point here is to remember again the statement he made, that change was coming to America. I've have made this point on numerous occasions that the change he was talking about was vastly different than the change many envisioned. But I am starting to find that people do not have the capacity to think things through.

In many ways Americans have lost their ability to BE free! Basic psychology states: change the thinking you change the behavior. I can tell you are probably shaking your head in disagreement, but I offer you a very telling example on this very principle.

My sister and her husband are very intelligent people generally, but we had gotten into a conversation about voter fraud. They made the statement that I have heard before that no one even talked about voter fraud until a black man became president. And the subsequent thinking is that there has been any fraud in modern times. This is, of course, patently untrue, but you can not disabuse someone easily of a cherished position or thinking.

And this was one of those times.

But if you play into the predisposed thinking of people, once an idea takes hold it gets a seemingly legitmate set of legs. And then fact checking doesn't matter because if they like, or hate, an idea, it is the emotional response that in the minds of many that makes it a unchallenged fact, whether it is really true or not. And Progressives (disguised as Democrats) play into this well. It is how they are able to make any gains whatsoever. Because consider this: if they told you their endgame, you would stop them dead in their tracks.

And the politicos know this well.

But I believe in God, and His ability to do, affect, or change anything. So I pray about these issues, because they not only affect my life, but those of the ones I love, my fellow, directly. Change indeed is coming to America, indeed it has already begun in earnest. But the saving grace is that a praying nation puts that change directly into the hands of Almighty God. And now that He has ahold of it, the changes are according to His will.
