Romney's Faith

So is the nation really having a hard time with the idea of a Mormon president? I believe we should understand a little more about faith in general, and how one stands before God judged by their heart (relationship with God), and not by any denomination.

It is faith, and not denomination, that we should take into account. The caveat here is that we have no ability to know the relationship a man has, or has not, with God. Why? Because it is the heart of the person that denotes how we are judge before the throne of God. This is vital to understand, that God is going to judge you by your relationship with Him, not your relationship with the world (denomination).

So we see in the Bible:
"And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16:15
That's very clear on what God thinks of a person and how He judges. But in this election cycle the question of Mitt Romeny's denomination is having an impact on his polling numbers. The main reason is that most people have a hard time wrapping their minds around Mormonism. They think that Barack Obama is a Christian, and that is mainstream.

However Obama is a Black Libertarian, at least on paper. This less "mainstream" than being a Mormon. But I feel that is disingenuous at best (Generally, it means "insincere" and often seems to be a synonym of cynical or calculating. (American Heritage Dictionary). I truly believe that Mr. Obama is a Muslim.
"Obama, speaking to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “This Week,” was talking about what he described as “smears” that were claiming he was a Muslim when he maintains he is a practicing Christian. “Let’s not play games,” Obama stated. “What I was suggesting – you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you’re absolutely right that that has not come.” (read it here)
So we have discernment on this. On the one hand we someone who claims to be Christian, but operates more in step with the ideology of Islam, versus someone who seems to be more Christian by example. This gets hamper by the fact that many have no understanding of what is to be Mormon.

That being said, what people should understand that God does not define His people by their denomination, but rather by the sincerity, or lack thereof, that resides in their heart. Christianity today is all about entertainment, what denomination that you belong to, signs and wonders, and your position in the scheme of things.

Where is Christ in all that? Where is the Walk Of Faith? And ultimately we must ask, where is the discipleship? In essence the Corporate Church is not of God or Christ. It does not teach a person about how to be a good Berean, someone who STUDIES the Word of God, nor will it equip them for their Walk Of Faith. And that is akin to all religions, big or small.

So Romney's denomination means nothing to God, but his heart does. Shouldn't we take that same stance?

God bless America.
