It's The Economy, Stupid

One of my favorite sites to go to for insightful information is Michelle Malkin's blog (listed below in the footer). I was duly shocked to find out there are some items we are not seeing on the news sites. I have to tincture this with the thought "that with all that is happening in America, not everyone can cover everything".

Of course this is the reason why I read the blogs. Michelle's lead story was therefore a "eyes wide open" moment for me.

"The Obama administration’s loathsome cowboy, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, won’t take no for an answer. He’s been smacked down repeatedly by federal courts for imposing a draconian, junk science-based moratorium on the oil and gas industry. Yet, the job-killing zealot and his boss just introduced another ruinous offshore drilling ban two weeks ago." (read it here)

Now mind you this president is trying to penalize the rich with taxation to adjust the money this administration has access to. After analysis of this measure, it doesn't improve anything. In fact one talking head on Fox News said the amount wouldn't even dent the deficit. So now they are once again trying to get more funds in the administration's coffers by penalizing the oil and gas industry.

The operative word here is "penalize" rather than any real addressing of the Recession. First derailing the Keystone Pipeline, and now encumbering the oil industry from operating unfettered. This equates to putting a monkey-wrench into REAL economic recovery. You might want to ask yourself the reason why.

To transform the country, it's prosperity, leadership status, and freedoms, to something you can control. Some will view it as a progressive agenda, others to a meglomaniac (Megalomania is characterized by an inflated sense of self-esteem and overestimation by persons of their powers and beliefs) ego of the White House. However I truly believe that this is one of many steps by Soros and gang, to seize power.

And quite a coo this would be, financially, politically, and ultimately ideologically. To fundamentally change the country to your needs. And the coin of the realm spent in this pursuit, is again, freedom and liberty. I submit to you that this country has taken body blow after body blow, to accomplish this.

So what is the final answer to all this? And will any new president be able to change the tide with one term?

On the first point, we need to be diligent in voting in those who support "America first" in their thinking, and in the laws that they have or will participate in. They need to be those men and women of good character, and basic common sense. So we need to change our Congress, both House and Senate, if we we are to gain any ground in effectively changing the character and scope of our government.

Secondly we need to vote in a president who supports this type of change. I believe that Mitt Romney is that man. Some would like you to believe that he is a bigwig (out of touch with the people), well moneyed, and clueless, candidate for the highest office of the land. Hardly.

But let's look at this further, even if he was a lame-duck president (one without power or access to power), we would still light years ahead of where we are today. I believe he has the experience and fortitude that Obama does not. That is why the negative ads to his actual strengths. If you can marginalize the candidate, and his accomplishments, as the argument goes, you can defeat your opponent.

There will be no substantive addressing of the issues by the Obama camp, or the vetting of the same, because Obama can not stand on his merits. Why? Because there are not any. Food for thought. The reason I bring this up because the Obama spin machine has to couch the issues in vague terms in order to lie effectively. And this he does.

More on this issue can be found at the Freedom Works website an this excerpt from Ashlee Smith's article (read it here).

"The Obama administration is continuing its war on affordable energy for the American public. This time the effects of the administration’s policy decisions will come through the reduction of offshore drilling sites in the 2012-2017 offshore lease plan.  The administration isn’t jumping up and down to bring attention to this issue, probably because there are no positives to be excited about. Further proof of this is the fact the Obama administration released the final plan the day of the Supreme Court’s ObamaCare decision. This distraction diverted most attention away from the drilling plan. Thankfully, the Obama administration doesn’t get the final word in this instance. Offshore drilling plans go through a process of public comment and Congressional review."

At least that is one area in which Obama is substantive. God bless America.
