Well, the churches today are striving to differentiate themselves from the pack. They believe that in lowering the threshold of acceptance to the Christian “lifestyle” would allow them to indoctrinate a broader spectrum of converts to Christianity. Sadly in doing this, instead they have simply broaden their acceptance of the worldly culture into their ranks.
The post-modern church of today is NOT the true body of Christ and does NOT represent the bride. There is a huge difference between these churches of “tolerance, diversity and acceptance” and the children of God, the body of Christ, in fact, the former is firmly rooted in the tenets and principles of the world, and the other is not—and never will be. Some would argue this fact, but they would be wrong.

It only takes a casual, INFORMED, look and the apostasy is readily apparent.
As in all things of the world, the first casualty of this reformation of the church is, as always, truth. They suggest that the Bible is NOT the inerrant Word of God, just a waymark on a journey to “self-discovery”. That the tenets expressed in it’s covers are only applicable to the times of which they were given, and like all things relative, do not express current trends and societal norms of today.
That we must use these truths and principles as a guiding influence in our lives, yes, but not as the absolute foundational strictures of our Christianity. Wow! How far the churches have fallen! Question; if a church falls in the forest of human secularism would you hear it? Did it really make a sound at all? Hmmm.
Is there hope for the body of Christ in this fallen world? Well, I was reading in Romans 8 today (my favorite book and chapter) and I was enlightened by a specific passage there. On the one hand it states that if God gave us His Son, then there really isn’t anything else that He wouldn’t give us. On the other hand, we are still accounted as sheep for the slaughter in this world because of the enmity between the flesh and the spirit.

So though we walk in truth and spirit, we are still subject to the circumstances and chaos of a fallen world. But we have an advocate with God, that stands before the throne and intercedes on our behalf. We have a sure hope that is beyond the bonds of this earthly existence. Don’t take that lightly. Man can kill the body, if God allows it, but only God can save the soul, not the earthly philosophies and dogmas of an earthbound church, sect or creed!
So, expect the persecution of your faith, but remember the eternal reward that can not be comprehended , because it is so awesome and special, an earthbound mind can not understand it. But, as we are looking to heaven, we must also remember we live here on earth and that God always provides what is needed—as long as we walk with Him in spirit and in truth!
Once saved , always saved is NOT a promise of God! It’s like saying once you bought bread, you will always have bread, and that’s foolishness! But there are many who spiritually starve for the bread of life everyday because of their lack of understanding.
We must always replenish ourselves in God’s spirit. We must walk with God, talk with God, do as God directs, be like Jesus, walk like Jesus and do as Jesus did, walk in the Spirit, talk with the Spirit and do as the Spirit leads. It takes constancy and consistency, a disciplined discipleship in every waking moment, in all that we say , do, think, and feel. In that we become the True Church, and the True Bride of Christ.

That is what makes us the children of God. A dog doesn’t cluck like a chicken and a rooster doesn’t bark like a dog. Like begets like. So also is the body of Christ, it reflects Christ in ALL things.
As I have said before, if a church sounds like the world, talks like the world and acts like the world—it is truly of the world! Regardless of what they say. Many will say to you that you have a closed mind if you think that way, and an intolerant spirit, and that truly ALL are God’s children. Wrong! What you would really have is a conviction that the truths of God are immutable and finite, though infinite in their wisdom and application. And also is wrong, that all are God’s children.

We are all His progeny, but only those who walk after the Spirit of God are His Children. The Bible simply states that the others are the “sons of perdition”. I, by the grace of God, choose to be on the right side of the family tree.
Be blessed, be loved and be at peace. May the light of God's glory and presence fire the brilliance of your souls. You are greatly loved.
