Well, the RNC Convention is over.
I
have noticed the fallout throughout liberal outlets trying to find
something wrong to report on. With the really only singular potshot
of note being the one aimed at Clint Eastwood and his speech at the
Convention just prior to Marco Rubio who introduced Mitt Romney. This
is a famed individual who gave the succinct unction that the liberal
press either crucified him for, or simply under reported it.
“Given Clint Eastwood's movie roles, you might've thought his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday would be a grim, stiff-lipped affair. Nope: The "mystery guest" amused the Tampa crowd with an unexpectedly goofy, off-the-cuff address. The Hollywood actor held a pretend conversation with an invisible President Obama ("What do you want me to tell Mr Romney? I can't tell him to do that himself"), zinged Joe Biden ("the intellect of the Democratic Party ... a grin with a body behind it"), and capped off by resurrecting his most famous movie line after prompts from the audience. "Go ahead," he started. The crowd finished: "Make my day." MSNBC
The speeches from all the expected
speaker were quite good. My favorites were Ann Romney, Paul Ryan,
Condoleezza Rice, and a very clear keynote by Mitt Romney himself. I
was intrigued mostly by the humanization of all the speeches, yes
they were political speeches designed to speak to differing issues,
but each one held the human essence of each speaker. In other words,
they put a face on the political exercise.
I truly believe that we can move
forward, as a country, as a people, and as the melting pot of
nations, race, creed, and political bent. It was made clear that we
must raise the standard of the complexion of this nation, to one of
unity, and through that lens we can embolden this country to
excellence once again. That America hasn't failed, our current
government has.
Again a resurgence of the importance of
family, hard work, and the power of our faith, in God, this nation,
and ultimately in each other. We are a nation like no other, and the
pursuit of this excellence has defined us. So we must revitalize our
national pride, not arrogance, that will fuel the recovery of these
selfsame value that we hold dear.
God bless America
